He had called his followers to a Jihad against the Jews in a 1943 broadcast from Radio Berlin during the height of the Holocaust: “Kill the Jews wherever you find them, this is pleasing to Allah.” Later al-Husseini declared that the Arab goal was “the elimination of the Jewish state.” “I declare a holy war, my Muslim brothers! Murder the Jews, murder them all”.
